Famous Chasen’s Chili
I recently came across my mom’s old recipe box. She, like so many mothers, kept a recipe box filled with family favourites, some being her own interpretations and others that were beloved recipes from friends and family. As I flipped through the recipes, some of which I hadn’t thought about in years, the familiarity of many was so strong that I could nearly taste them. It’s amazing how food, as well as the memory of beloved dishes, can bring so much joy to your life.
One of those recipes is for Chasen’s Chili. This is a great time of year to make up a batch of chili. Let it simmer in a slow cooker on a busy weeknight, a wintery weekend, or to feed a crowd gathered to watch the big game.
There is an interesting story that goes along with this particular recipe, so check out the recipe page.
